Long Fine Steel

Long, fine bristles provide a soft, delicate brushing while the fine
diameter works deeply into the structure without changing the
structure (not a structuring tool). Working deeper into the structure
than the fine braasss or fine copper because of a smaller bristle
diameter (about 0.06mm). Can be used to open the
base structure before a new waxing job. It really shines when used lightly
2 to 4 times to open the base structure after the horsehair brush has been
used, or on very hard (colder) waxes such as Ski*go C380 or LF Green.
A good complement to a Red Creek Fine Steel or Ultra Fine Steel rotobrush.

sandpaper is superior in it's ability to provide clean, crisp cuts in material.
By being waterproof it can work in environments where water is being used to

Products for repairing deep gouges in the ski base. Used particularly when
gouges or grooves are not in-line with the direction of travel, or when
they are deep and long enough to cause stability/control problems. Please
understand that the repair material is HDPE and does not absorb ski wax
as UHMW-PE (aka P-tex) does.

Nordic Wax Benches/Profiles
Steel Portable Ski Profile
This profile consist of two ends and a middle. The middle has the wire loop
that mimics a Solomon or NNN boot toe to lock into the binding to keep the
ski secure; as a bonus this leaves the sidewalls clear of any obstructions
when waxing and rilling. The two ends are easily placed to match the length
of all skis. Further the ends can be rotated into three different positions
to match your needs even further. Unlike other wax benches the three parts
do not need to all be on the same surface even! Top surface of each end is
covered with a non-slip surface to help keep the ski in place. Will handle
nordic skis with Solomon/NNN bindings of all widths from all ski
manufacturers with length from 140cm and up. Each will easily fit into
a wax box or a small pack.
This profile is very solid and sturdy because it is made of steel. Naturally
heavier than aluminum models, but skis shift less and
and the binding clamp accomodates thicker surfaces.

Wax Bench with Legs
This wonderful portable bench with legs is very sturdy.
The steel legs and frame means less shifting as you are waxing,
scraping or rilling. Skis with either a NNN or Salomon binding
connect at the middle of the bench. The two aluminum stays of
the profile can be adjusted to match the length of the ski.
Each stay has a rubber surface to prevent the ski slipping and
rubber caps on the end of each leg. Each leg can be removed
(by taking off e-clips).
This item ships as Expedited Post to be cost effective
(i.e. costs less) and will take an extra 1 or 2 days to arrive.
NEW: for the 2011/12 benches the clip to hold the ski to the bench now
has a quick release mechanism (like a bicycle wheel) allowing for height
adjustment. This helps with shorter skis (<140cm). Also helps with the new
Solomon Propulse binding with the very long closing arm because the clip can
be completely removed, attached to the ski and then quick clamped back to the
bench.
Colour is semi-gloss black for 2011/12 this season (as shown above).
Also available as a double bench (in colour black) with a small table
area between the two profiles.
